Here we have a vintage cast iron Round Roaster-Drip Drop DUTCH OVEN (catalog number 1267 E) with LID and a thick wire bail handle made by WAGNER WARE of Sidney, OH USA. The bottom is marked, "WAGNER WARE SYDNEY -O- 1267 E" and "WAGNER WARE SIDNEY -O- 1267 A" on the lid's underside along with two concentric raised circular drip rings. 9-1/4" in top diameter (add 1" for each side handle connection and 5/8" for the front assist/help tab) x 7-3/4" in base diameter x 4" pot side high x 7-1/2" in total height with the domed lid additional 2 for the wire handle up position. Can hold up to 3-1/2 quarts. It is in good maintained (used) condition with no chips or cracks, no bottom wobble. It is being offered in "as found" condition, not cleaned or re-seasoned since acquired - currently showing cook/heat marks pretty much all over (also, what I believe to be tiny pit marks on the exterior lid, and some pitting on the interior surface)... All of which are not offensive, a clean and re-seasoning then good to go. The interior surface is mostly smooth to the touch. This cast iron Oven heats evenly, retains the heat, and with consistent care it will last a lifetime. Came from a private home collection of many years, however the exact age is unknown, circa 1941.
