Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Griswold No. 8 Cast Iron Dutch Oven with matching self-basting lid and bail handle.
This is a desirable Tite-Top Dutch Oven set featuring the large block Griswold logo and correct matching components: Base marked: The Griswold MFG Co. Cast Iron Tite-Top Dutch Oven, Erie PA U.
833 Lid marked: Griswold Self-Basting Cover No. 8, Pattern 1288B These pieces date to approximately the 1930s-early 1940s and are well known for their excellent cooking performance and collectibility. Condition: Fully restored and seasoned, ready to use Sits flat with a very slight wobble when pressure is applied (common for vintage cast iron and does not affect cooking performance) No cracks or repairs Lid fits properly Clean, smooth interior cooking surface Original bail handle intact and secure This is a great example for both collectors and everyday use. 8 Dutch oven (10.5 diameter) Notes: Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description.
