This is an authentic antique Dutch Cooking Ware bean pot / Dutch oven made by the J. Classic blue sponge decoration on tan stoneware. Each piece uniquely patterned by hand-applied sponge design. Wire bail handle still intact for carrying or hanging near a hearth. Smooth blue glazed lining for easy cleaning.

Glossy surface with fine age-appropriate crazing (crackle lines). Advertised as "blue lined" for durability and safe food preparation. Originally made for coal and wood-burning ranges. Suitable for slow oven baking (beans, stews) or warming on stove tops. Wire bail allowed suspension in open hearths or fireplaces.

Not intended for modern gas/electric stovetops or microwaves (heat stress can crack stoneware). Excellent antique condition for its 100+ years of age. Rare to find with lid present and intact.
